Summary:
The Principal Engineer is responsible for contributing to LiveVault requirements and roadmap planning, helping define LiveVault’s architecture/infrastructure, implementing LiveVault features/functionality, and technically coaching junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding all aspects of the LiveVault solution beyond Engineering; Operations, Support, Professional Services, etc.
- Assisting with oversight of LiveVault architecture/infrastructure
- Design and implement features/functionality associated with the LiveVault Engine components
- Technically coaching junior engineers
- Potentially leading (technically) LiveVault development projects
Must Have
- 10+ years of Full SDLC experience in a windows environment
- 3+ years of .NET experience (C# and ASP.net), experience with .NET Remoting and Windows Forms a plus
- 3+ years of T-SQL experience with SQL Server 2000, experience with SQL 2005 a plus
- Strong understanding and application of OO skills
- Experience building scalable web applications
- Experience building and using web services
- Proven ability to deliver quality code on schedule
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to write research proposals, scoping documents, specifications, etc.
- High energy, ability to handle interrupts (be multi-threaded), and desire to work in a exciting and challenging atmosphere
